by popular demand, the Department for Employment Services
will present the statewide employer seminars again this
year. The 2002 DES Employer Seminars will feature
several new locations at the request of last year's
attendees.
These seminars will be offered around the
state to inform employers about the Unemployment Insurance
program and services that can be accessed through our
agency. They will provide detailed
information on how employers can fulfill the requirements of
the program, how to save money on Unemployment Insurance
taxes and provide a forum for employers to ask questions of
experts in this field. The sessions are appropriate
for personnel administrators, accounting and bookkeeping
staff and the owners of small businesses.
For
Pikeville and the Big Sandy Area the seminars will be held at the
Jenny Wiley State Park on October 29. The registration fee will include a continental breakfast,
lunch and other costs associated with making this service
available to you, our customer including all fees associated
with providing an employer packet containing new information
regarding the Department's latest updates in its programs,
services and technology.
