Federal Income Tax Withholding:
Effective August 7, 2001, the amount of federal income tax an individual my elect withheld from UI benefits changed from 15% to 10% of the weekly benefit amount.

Job Fairs

In addition to participating in local Job & Career Fairs, the Office of Employment and Training presents on-site Job Fairs. On Site Employer Day

Office of Employment and Training (OET) sponsors on-site Employer Days. For an employer to participate, the job opening(s) for which they are recruiting are listed with our centralized Job Bank or you can call (606-433-7721). OET staff will then assist with recruiting for potential employees. OET will arrange and schedule interviews and appointments per the employer’s specifications, conduct testing, assist with administering an employer’s test or any of the suite of tests administered by OET. If it is the preference of the employer OET will have applications or resumes collected from interested job seekers for the employer’s review. Office space is made available for the employer to conduct individual interviews or group presentations. Telephone, fax, copiers, and printers are also available for the employers’ use.
